6. A band/artist not many people know of, but you think should.

Okay, I have to pimp out this lady. She’s an Australian singer named Lanie Lane and she’s the most adorable thing ever, I follow on her facebook and she makes me squee everytime she posts something. She has a single out called “What Do I Do” which is currently my most played song on itunes. You can listen/read lyrics/download for free here.

Here’s a really cool live version of What Do I Do (with bonus!audience participation) here. Then there’s Betty Baby, a song she wrote about her guitar, and Saturday Morning, which was inspired by an old photograph.

There’s also her side project Idea Idea and their really awesome song Set Sail. She’s also in the video for Trigger Finger by You Am I, and sings back-up vocals.
